An option to tourist who like to have train experience (which has built by French during war ) in both ways and also cause the reason of travel time . We make this with 3 nights 2 days trip which you will spend 2 nights on train (private cabin can be requested ) and have one night in hotel in Sapa town . You will have 2 full days touring around Sapa with highlights of the areas including the villages , waterfalls, heaven gate of Sapa, mountain valley, terrace rice field and to taste a lunch homestay (great to try ) if not can be arranged in local restaurant ,before getting overnight train back to Hanoi .
Highlight :
Night 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai station
8.00pm: Pick up at your hotel, or in our office, go to Tran Quy Cap Station
9.00pm: Get on the sleeping train to Lao Cai station
Day 1: Sapa – short trekking + Heaven gate - stay overnight in hotel (Meals included : L)
6.00am: Arrive in Lao Cai station. Our guide will pick you up at station and transfer to Sapa town.
7.00 – 7.30am: Leave your luggages at the hotel and have breakfast.
9.00am: Start the tour to Cat Cat village. Trekking down to the village and you will be impressed by the peacefully picturesque sceneries. Visitors can easily catch sight of women sitting in front of their houses with colorful handmade products, and the children playing surrounding. This is an opportunity to understand more about ethnic people’s life and customs as well.
12.00: Have lunch in local restaurant with traditional food. Then, relax for a while
14.00: Continue the trip by trekking further to see more stunning landscapes of Sin chai village + and impressive your self with Sapa heaven gate which is the highest stretch of road in Vietnam as well as the provincial border of Lao Cai and Lai Chau provinces. Enjoy fantastic view over the valley!
16.00: Back to hotel.
Free at night in Sapa town. Walking around the night market and shopping.
Day 2: Trekking Lao Chai – Ta Van – overnight train back to Hanoi (Meals included : Breakfast ,Lunch)
7.00am: Have breakfast and check out hotel. Leave big luggage in the hotel and prepare a small backpack for trekking.
A short journey in 15 mins by car, takes you to Muong Hoa valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in northwest Vietnam. Descending into the valley by walking, you will see the terraced rice paddy. If you visit the valley between May and October, there is a chance to experience to see how the locals plant and harvest rice.
Keep trekking to Lao Chai village of the Black H’mong minority to Ta Van village of the Zay people. You can see the differences between traditions and customs of two groups.
Stop in the homestay, then check in and have lunch. (tourist restaurant can be requested )
Spend afternoon time to walking around the villages.
Back to Sapa town to collect luggage and then go straight to train station to get back to Hanoi
