Morning
Begin at Hoan Kiem Lake, the heart of Hanoi.
Cross the historic Long Bien Bridge, built by the French. Enjoy views of the mighty Red River (Hong River)—the longest river system in northern Vietnam.
Drive along the river dike into the countryside, passing traditional houses, temples, local markets, and lush rice paddies with banana, guava, and corn farms.
Pause at a village “bar” for a drink and stories of the An Duong Vuong Dynasty (over 2,000 years old).
Visit An Duong Vuong King Temple, Trong Thuy Prince’s Well, and a traditional community house.
Cycle around the ancient citadel’s remains and tranquil gardens.
